Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup whole milk powder
  • ½ cup chocolate chips variety of your choice
  • 1 - 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • Optional: Cinnamon nutmeg, crushed peppermint sticks, white chocolate chips, espresso powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, salted caramel bits, maple sugar, holiday spices, dark/milk/flavored chocolate chips.

  • Prepare Jars: Ensure your Mason jars (two 16 oz or one 32 oz) are clean and dry.

Layer Ingredients

  • For two 16 oz jars: Layer in this order -½ cup sugar, ½ cup cocoa powder, ¼ cup milk powder, ¼ cup chocolate chips, and marshmallows to the top in each jar.
  • For one 32 oz jar: Use the full amounts (1 cup sugar, 1 cup cocoa powder, etc.).
  • Add Customizations: Choose from the optional ingredients to add your personal touch. Mix them directly into the layers, or add them as separate layers for visual appeal.
  • Seal and Decorate: Close the jars tightly. Decorate with ribbons, tags, or festive decorations.
  • Attach Instructions: Include a tag with instructions for making the cocoa: “Pour contents of jar into a bowl and mix. Mix 1/4 cup of cocoa mix with 6 oz of hot water or milk and enjoy!”
