Make your own homemade taco seasoning with pantry spices in 5 minutes. No preservatives, no mystery ingredients — just bold, real flavor you can trust.
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir to blend evenly.
Transfer to a clean, dry glass jar using a funnel.
Seal tightly, label with the date, and store in a cool, dark pantry for up to 6 months.
To use: add 2–3 tablespoons to 1 pound of browned ground meat with ⅓ cup water. Simmer 5 minutes.
Notes
Shake jar before each use. Adjust red pepper flakes to your heat preference. For a smokier blend, use double the smoked paprika.
To thicken taco meat, add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch per pound of meat along with the seasoning and water. Stir well and simmer until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
