Ingredients

  • 6 cups of apple cider
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 6 whole allspice berries
  • Strips of orange peel
  • Strips of lemon peel
  • Cheesecloth and string
  • Optional cinnamon sticks for serving

Instructions

  • Pour 6 cups of apple cider into the pot.
  • Take a piece of cheesecloth. On top of it, put 2 cinnamon sticks, 6 whole cloves, 6 whole allspice berries, pieces of orange peel, and pieces of lemon peel. Fold the cheesecloth around these things and tie it with some string.
  • Carefully place the spice bundle you made into the pot with the apple cider.
  • Put the pot on medium heat. Warm it up slowly – don't let it start boiling. Keep it like this for about 5-10 minutes. This will help the flavors mix together.
  • After 5-10 minutes, take the pot off the heat. Carefully remove the spice bundle from the pot.
  • Pour into mugs. Enjoy!

Notes

Notes: If you want, you can put a cinnamon stick in each cup – it will look nice and can also help you stir the flavors while you enjoy your drink.
