Spread fresh dandelions on a drying screen for 24 hours. Don't let them puff into seeds!
Place the wilted dandelions in a jar along with olive oil, melted coconut oil, and sweet almond oil. Cover the jar with a lid and shake well.
Place your jar of dandelion oil in a sunny location for two weeks, gently shaking it every day or two.
After 2 weeks, use a fine-mesh sieve to strain the dandelion flowers from the infused oil.
Tip: If the coconut oil has solidified, place the jar in a pan of warm water to melt it gently before straining.
Make the Lotion Bars:
Set up a double boiler by placing a smaller pan, bowl, or glass measuring cup over a larger pan with simmering water (about an inch or two deep).
Measure out 1/2 cup of the dandelion-infused oil and set aside the rest for other uses.
Add the oil and beeswax pastilles to the double boiler and heat until completely melted.
Once melted, remove the pan from heat and stir in the Shea or cocoa butter until fully incorporated.
If desired, add 15–30 drops of your favorite essential oils for fragrance.
Quickly pour the melted mixture into silicone molds before it hardens.
Allow the lotion bars to cool and solidify completely, which may take several hours. Once set, pop them out of the molds and store them in tins or other containers.
