1 cup of milk dairy or non-dairy ½ tablespoon dried chamomile buds or 1 chamomile tea bag 1 heaping teaspoon dried culinary lavender 1-2 teaspoons honey maple syrup, or sweetener of choice ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pour the milk into a small saucepan and warm it over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
Add the chamomile and lavender to the hot milk. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the tea bag and herbs, then strain the milk through a fine mesh strainer.
Return the milk to the saucepan and add your sweetener and vanilla extract. Stir well.
Use a whisk or milk frother to froth the milk until creamy and slightly foamy.
Pour the frothy milk into a mug and sprinkle a few lavender buds on top if desired.
